Cape Vidal falls within the St Lucia Marine Reserve and is situated northeast of St Lucia.
This pretty bay is set back in the dunes.
There are 18 five-bedded and 11 eight-bedded fully equipped log cabins.
These have two and three bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchenette and a dinette/lounge.
Cape Vidal also has 50 campsites in the dune forest near the beach.
This is a relatively safe area for swimming, wildlife, especially birds, is abundant and self-guided trails enable visitors to see some of the surrounding wetlands and Lake Bhangazi.

Maphelane is 50 km from the N2 between Empangeni and Mtubatuba opposite the Kwambonambi turn off.
Maphelane Resort is tucked away into a sheltered bay on the south bank of the iMfolozi River estuary at the point where it enters the Indian Ocean.
Stay in self-catering Log Cabins with two bedrooms, bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchenette and a dinette/lounge.
The bay is wonderful for swimming, although, please note that there are no shark nets so low tide swimming is advised.
There are 2 self-guided trails - one along the estuary bank and the other to the top of the dune for a breathtaking view of the ocean and the mouth of the river.
